Helix or Auricle Piercing

An auricle / Helix piercing, also known as rim piercing, is done through the folded over rim of cartilage at the back to top of the ear. Commonly done at 14 gauge, this piercing is a very common one and captive bead rings are a popular choice for jewelry.

An industrial piercing is any two pierced holes connected with a single straight piece of jewelry. Two piercing are made, one close to the head the second further down the cartilage, on the opposite side of the ear. A straight barbell is inserted through the two piercing

Rook Piercing

Rook Piercing

The elevated tissue fold below the Helix is called the Rook. Rook piercing can be a part of industrial via rook piercing as well as can be a separate piercing. Ball Closure Rings, Curved Barbells and PTFE Barbells are ideal for use in a Rook piercing.

 

Daith Piercing

A daith piercing is a perforation of the ear cartilage, primarily on the outer rim of the ear closest to the head. . The jewelry most commonly worn is small gauge, typically a captive bead ring. though several other types of body jewelry are suitable.

Tragus

Tragus Piercing

Sometimes called a "tab" piercing, the tragus piercing is done through the small tab like protrusion found immediately in front of the ear canal on many people. This is a very painful piercing. the most common tragus piercing jewelry is a 14GA or a 16ga captive bead ring.

 

Snug Piercing

The snug piercing is located through the inner cartilage, halfway down the outer rim of the ear, above the anti-tragus.  The snug is a fairly small, shallow area where the cartilage is not very thick, making for an easier piercing than the rook. Typical jewelry used curved barbells and segment rings.

Conch

Conch Piercing

A conch piercing is located in the big area of cartilage just above the earlobes and the anti-tragus on the inner ear. A ring or a barbell can be worn on this type of piercing, however if selecting a ring make sure it is large enough to encircle the outer ear.

Anti-Tragus Piercing

The anti-tragus piercing is done by piercing the raised piece of cartilage just above the ear lobe toward the outer edge of the ear. This piercing, like other cartilage piercing, is known for extended healing times and the tendency for captive beads or other jewelry to flop around and prolong the healing time.

Probably the most common piercing. This piercing is done in the fleshy lobe at the bottom of the ear. The "standard" earring size is 20ga. Most body piercing in the lobe is done at 14ga. this piercing is commonly stretched as The soft fleshy tissue of the ear lobe makes it easy to stretch.


Navel Piercing

A navel piercing (also referred to as a belly button piercing) typically does not pierce the actual navel. The most common form of navel piercing is through the upper rim of the navel. Most kinds of ring or bar jewelry can be worn in a navel piercing. Navels are most often pierced with a curved barbell.

Bridge Piercing

The bridge piercing is done through the skin at the top of the nose (not through the cartilage) between the eyes. Common jewelry for a bridge piercing includes: straight or curved barbells, captive bead rings, or horseshoe circular barbells.

Eyebrow Piercing

Eyebrow piercings are typically done vertically and off center on the eyebrow. Eyebrow piercing are typically done at 16ga or 14ga and most generally the jewelry consists of either a curved barbell or a small captive bead ring.

Lip Piercing

Lip piercing come in a fairly wide range of combinations and placements. Multiple lip piercing are often referred to as "bite" piercings. Lip piercing typically uses 14GA or 16 ga and the jewelry used is labret studs, captive bead rings, circular barbells, loops.

Smiley or Fraenum Piercing

fraenum piercing involves horizontally piercing the web between the gums and the lip. There are more specific names for the fraenum piercing depending on location. Fraenum piercing are usually done at 18ga or 16ga and small captive bead rings are the most common jewelry.

Nostril Piercing

The nostril piercing is done on either side of the nose and generally just along the edge of the curve of the nostril. Common gauges for nostril piercing are 20 gauge or 18 gauge and jewelry includes: nose screws, nose bones, and bend to fit nose studs.and Small captive bead rings.

Monroe or Crawford Piercing

A Monroe (L), Crawford (R) or madonna piercing is done off center on the upper lip and is intended to resemble a beauty mark. This type of piercing is usually done at 14ga or 16ga. a labret stud typically is worn. Small gems are the most popular for this piercing. This is also one of the quicker healing piercing

Septum Piercing

The septum piercing is another form of nose piercing. this piercing is almost always done through the flesh just below the end of the cartilage. The most common gauge is 14ga. septum jewelry includes: captive bead rings, curved horseshoe circular barbells, buffalo talons, and others.

Tongue Piercing

A tongue piercing is most commonly done at 14 gauge and involves piercing the tongue from top to bottom. The initial piercing is often at 14 g (1.6 mm), but to avoid one or two stretching steps it is possible to pierce immediately at 12 g (2.0 mm) or even 10 g (2.4 mm).

Medusa Piercing

A medusa piercing is an upper lip piercing, very similar to a labret piercing; it is placed in the philtrum, directly under the septum of the nose. It is typically pierced using a labret stud as jewelry, with the ball sitting outside of the mouth in the dip of the top lip.

A labret piercing literally means any type of adornment attached to the facial lip (labrum). Normally, the term refers to a piercing that is below the bottom lip, above the chin. It is sometimes referred to as a "tongue pillar."

A nipple piercing is a piercing, centered usually at the base of the nipple. It can be pierced at any angle but is usually done horizontally or, less often, vertically. It is also possible to place multiple piercing on top of one another.

A Microdermal piercing or Dermal anchor has developed from the strategies used in pocketing, dermal anchoring and transdermal implants.A flat plate which sits underneath the skin with a single exit for a barbell post giving the visible effect of jewelry

Madison piercing

The Madison piercing is a piercing placed horizontally, a touch above the centre of the collarbone, at the base of the neck. jewellery can be surface bar, CBR, or a curved barbell depending upon placement and aesthetic ideals.


 

Finger ring piercing

A finger ring is a transient surface piercing thru the finger surface. It is very rare for them to pierce, and they’re nearly always done simply for fun as a brief show.

Anti-eyebrow

A small surface bar that is placed above the cheek bone or below the eyebrow. This piercing can be vertical or horizontal, depending on the person's preference. Though it is a surface piercing, with proper care, placement, and jewelry, it can be a viable long-term piercing.
