Being the first licensed tattoo studio in Northern Virginia also makes us the oldest studio in Northern Virginia, and for that matter older than any studio in Washington D.C. I have seen many, many changes in the tattoo business, some good, some maybe not so good. The increase in popularity has brought out a lot of new artists with a lot of new styles and talent that is making tattoo art unbelievely good, but at the same time I don't believe the new artists have had to work as hard to get where they are as some of us "OLDER" guys did. A lot of "tradition" has been lost along the way. Rick's Tattoos has been very fortunate to have had, over the years, some very exceptional artists work here. We still, in my opinion anyway, have some of the best tattoo artists in the area working here now. |
